Spät aber doch noch ein kleines Nachwort zur Temporary Space Invasion Vor einiger Zeit auf Tinkerlog gesehen, wollte ich das schon länger mal nachbauen, da war die Space Invasion ein guter Anlass. Der Anfang hat sich dann doch etwas gezogen, vor Allem weil unser Vorrat an brauchbaren Steppern doch deutlich kleiner war als gedacht. Aber schließlich doch 2 gefunden die sich zur Mitarbeit überreden ließen und das Teil aufgebaut:

Dann stellte sich noch die Java-GUI als relativ garstig heraus, aber auch das Problem war zu knacken und in den letzten Tagen der Invasion ging es dann tatsächlich ans krizteln:

Zu einem Stift-Abhebe-Mechanismus bin ich dann leider nicht mehr gekommen. Das Ganze wird aber bald im Space am Whiteboard fix montiert, da wird dann auch das Abheben eingebaut. Im Original geschieht das mit einem Servo, ich denke an ein Relais - Als Seile soll blanker Draht verwendet werden, dadurch sind dann keine zusätzlichen Kabel nötig.

Die dritte Temporary Space Invasion kann beginnen.

Nach einem (sehr effizienten) Umzug sind wir erfolgreich ins freie Theater übersiedelt.

Die ersten Blinkenlights hängen schon und werden über die kommenden Tage noch aufgestockt.


Auch unser Elektroniklabor wurde übersiedelt. dieses wird vor allem beim Repair Cafè im Einsatz sein.


Mehr Couch! Dank kräftiger H&Ruck Unterstürtzung und vielen helfenden Händen wurde unsere gesammte Couchlandschaft im nu übersiedelt.


Vom Ho&Ruck haben wir auch einige Nähmaschinen erhalten, die leider nicht verkauft werden konnten. Diese Werden nun zum Großteil umgebaut und die Mechanik fällt einem anderen Zweck zu.


Auch zwei Strickmaschinen gehören dazu. Eventuell können wir diese so modifizieren, dass sie dann computergenerierte Muster Stricken können.


Eine Herde 3D Drucker ist mittlerweile zusammengekommen. Ein vierter (Rostock) wird noch dazugestellt. Zu sehen sind unser Rostock, Sarahs Folda Rap und der Prusa i3 von Giambattista.

Vom 19.April bis zum 3. Mai sind wir wieder im Freien Theater Innsbruck.

Das Programm für die Space Invasion wurde groß teils fixiert und kann hier gefunden werden. Vergesst euch nicht für die Workshops anzumelden, solange es noch Plätze gibt

Our Hackerspace will take over the "Freies Theater Innsbruck" for two weeks from 19th April to 3rd May.
We'd like to offer a series of talks (some highly technical, some for people that want to get into a specific topic), host events like a Repair Café and a tiny Barcamp. Of course we will hang out with people late and maybe stay at the theatre hacking away till dawn.

We will bring all our electronics equipment, 3D printers, workshop tools and caffeinated drinks to the theatre to offer you a productive environment.

If you feel that you could add something to our third Space Invasion, we'd like to invite you for a short term artists residency.

What we expect:

• a tiny kick off talk presenting your previous work
  
• 4-5 days of residency (where we can work together on your and our projects)
  
• Finissage: recap of your work at the theatre
  

We have a budget of 1000€ to cover some travel costs, expenses for materials, accommodation and allowance for one or two artists.

• Possible time frame(s)
  
• List of (possible) expenses (minimum for your stay, and what you'd like to work on special projects / for performances etc.)
  

We will help you to find an appropriate accommodation that fits your needs if you like (couchsurfing style to a place in an apartment - there will be a solution )

We will decide on the submissions on the 4th of March and tell you ASAP.

Der Hackerspace übernimmt vom 19. April bis zum 3. Mai wieder das Freie Theater Innsbruck.

Euch erwarten wieder Workshops mit Mikrocontrollern, Blinkenlights, glühende Netzwerke und eine gemütliche Atmosphäre um sich auszutauschen.

Auf euer Treffen freuen sich die Hacker und Haecksen vom IT-Syndikat

Am Donnerstag, dem 5. Februar findet ab 9.00 Uhr in der HTL Anichstraße in Innsbruck zum ersten Mal der „Tag der Technik“ statt. Unter dem Motto „Linux und mehr“ werden Hobbyisten und Unternehmen aus der Umgebung (z.B. Barracuda Networks und sigma star gmbh) zahlreiche Vorträge und Workshops rund um das Thema freie Software und Hardware halten. Der Eintritt ist kostenfrei und jeder Interessierte ist herzlich willkommen.

Linux, freie Software und freie Hardware beschäftigt immer mehr Firmen und IT Interessierte. Spätestens seit dem Raspberry Pi trifft sowohl freie Hardware als auch Software auf eine breite Masse. Sei es zur Realisierung der eigenen Hausautomatisierung oder einen Prototypen für ein Unternehmensprojekt, den Möglichkeiten sind keine Grenzen gesetzt.

Ansprechpartner der jeweiligen Unternehmen stehen beim anschließenden Get-together zur Verfügung. Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es Kreativität und Erfindergeist junger Menschen zu fördern und dabei eine Brücke zur Wirtschaft zu schlagen.

Reparieren statt Wegwerfen



Repair Cafés sind ehrenamtliche Treffen, bei denen die TeilnehmerInnen alleine oder gemeinsam mit anderen ihre kaputten Dinge reparieren.

Ende Jänner wird das Repaircafé in unseren Räumlichkeiten veranstaltet.

Abstract:

The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) is one of the leading
standards developing organizations where the core Internet protocols are
developed. With more than 100 working groups in 8 areas it covers a wide
range of technologies, everything from routing to security. Like any
other bigger organization it has a complex culture, organizational
structure and many rules. Understanding this eco-system, in addition to
the technology, is essential to successfully start new work and to
finalize it within a reasonable time-frame.

In this talk Hannes Tschofenig will explain his journey through the IETF
starting at around 2000. The focus will be on the people that keep the
organization 'ticking' but will nevertheless help you to understand the
structure and the processes of the organization.

CV: Hannes Tschofenig is employed by ARM Limited, a company known for
their widely used low-power microprocessors found in tablets, mobile
phones, and embedded devices. Prior employers include the European Data
Protection Supervisor, Nokia/Nokia Networks, and Siemens.

His work life focused on developing global standards to make the
Internet work better. He has been active in one of the leading Internet
standards developing organizations, the Internet Engineering Task Force
(IETF), for the past 14 years and has contributed to more than 60 RFCs
on security, privacy, and emergency services.

Hannes co-chaired various IETF groups, including the "Web Authorization
Protocol" (OAuth) working group and the "Authentication and
Authorization for Constrained Environments (ace)" working group. OAuth
is a protocol to enable secure and privacy-friendly data sharing on the
Web/Internet. ACE is a working group focused on Internet of Things
security.

From 2010 to 2014 Hannes was a member of the Internet Architecture Board
(IAB), a committee of the IETF. He is also vice-chair of the FIDO
Alliance Privacy and Public Policy Working Group. The FIDO (Fast
IDentity Online) Alliance aims to change the nature of authentication on
the Web by developing specifications that reduce the reliance on passwords.
